Sometimes you need to be ‘PRESENT’ in order to help effectively!
I love that scripture reminds us that our Lord is a ‘very PRESENT help’ to each of us in our time of need! (Psalm 46:1)
Right NOW, we have a great need! Our Mutual Faith Middle East Team Leader, Pastor Said Deeb, is with a small team IN SYRIA doing relief and recovery work in the massively damaged earthquake zone! We have taken a truckload of supplies, necessities, blankets, etc. from our LIFE CENTER in Beirut.
Here is the present word from our team,
“Finally, we are inside SYRIA! We’ve found grace and favor in the eyes of the authorities at the borders, the head leader was crying when he saw our love, they are desperate, they gave us their phone numbers in case of emergencies, and in 10 minutes we passed through 15 checkpoints so far, they saw the recommendation letter from the general head of the border and let us pass with lots of love and joy! What a miracle.”

The needs are enormous! Can you imagine? Maybe you have seen some of the pictures or videos of the destruction. Over 17,000 people have been confirmed dead as of today, and likely many more bodies will be found! On top of this people are dying from the cold and lack of other necessities.

In addition to helping the physical needs of these Syrians impacted by the earthquake, we are trying to complete 2 small warehouses on our LIFE CENTER campus in Beirut. These Warehouses will house the food, clothing, blankets, and necessities for disadvantaged refugees and emergencies like this earthquake – so we can always be READY to help in a time of need!
The good news is we only need $8,000.00 to complete the second warehouse, as the first warehouse is already paid for! PTL!
